SLEEP

On New Year’s I made a resolution to stop wasting so much time playing games on my computer, in particular the Free Cell solitare game. It is a shame to waste time when I have so many other more important things to do, like work on www.FunnyPhotosContest.com for cute or funny photos and photo captions. And when I stay up until the wee hours of the morning, I am always so tired the next day.

But I’ve just learned that a lack of sleep not only makes you tired, it can make you sick. Lately, they have announced repeatedly on the radio that people who do not get enough sleep are more likely to catch colds and become ill. I have long known that sleep provides the body with an important restorative power for health and healing. But somehow the knowledge didn’t seem that important and I just ignored it. However, the recent messages on the radio have made a significant impact on me and now I’m more determined than ever to go to sleep early.
